Today Universal Studios announced the 4th maze, in an already strong lineup, for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. “Halloween” will be returning to Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights in an all-new maze inspired by the second film in the classic horror series:
Hell Comes to Haddonfield
Most fans fondly remember the 2014 house and it was a great success. This year’s house will pick up with the final scene from “Halloween,” where Michael Myers is presumed dead after falling from a bedroom window – only to disappear from the ground. Guests will dodge Myers’ lethal knife at every turn as they step into iconic scenes from the film – all culminating in a horrifying finale.
As with 2014, Universal will be collaborating with Malek Akkad, producer of many of the installments of the Halloween franchise.
Michael Myers has had a long standing history with HHN. He has appeared many times in “Best Of” mazes and he almost got a scene in 2009’s “Silver Screams” maze but was replaced with “My Bloody Valentine” for unclear reasons.
He finally had his time to shine in 2014 with the house dedicated to the first movie. It was a long time coming for the fans as well as the creative developers of the event and it did not disappoint. Now we have another chance to step into Myers world with familiar scenes from Haddonfield, the cold and stark hospital, and even Myers’ fiery “end”.
Hell will indeed return to Haddonfield and Halloween Horror Nights. So make sure you get your tickets! While you’re at it, read Mike’s personal thoughts on this classic horror icon!
